Technical Test Lead
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Technical Test Lead to supervise and handle the testing phase of our software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. As a Technical Test Lead, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop test strategies, create test plans, and complete test cases to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead the testing effort throughout the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, execution, and reporting.
● Collaborate with project managers, developers, and quality assurance teams to define testing objectives, requirements, and priorities.
● Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans based on project requirements and specifications.
● Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
● Identify, document, and track software defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
● Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing as needed, daily playthroughs, exploring different game scenarios, features, and functionalities to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
● Regression Testing: Implement and complete regression testing procedures to verify the stability and performance of game builds across various platforms and environments.
● Defect Management: Document, track, and prioritize defects using bug tracking systems, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and validation of reported issues.
● Automated Testing: Develop and maintain automated test suites, harnesses, and frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages to ensure efficient and effective testing coverage.
● Performance Testing: Design, complete, and analyze performance tests to identify bottlenecks, optimize game performance, monitor health, and enhance overall player experience.
● Monitor and analyze test results, metrics, and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
● Mentor and coach team members on testing standard methodologies, tools, and techniques.
● Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
● Proven experience (3 years) in software testing, with a focus on test planning, execution, and automation.
● Strong technical background
● Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or JUnit.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and social skills.
● Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced environment and lead multiple priorities.
● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
● ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.

The pay range for this position in British Columbia at the start of employment is expected to be between $60,700 and $89,860 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
