HB Studios is a driving force in the creation of sports video games and the studio behind PGA TOUR 2K Golf – presently working on Console and PC. 

As a Producer, you will lead a cross-functional team, supporting the production and development of features and content, ensuring alignment with the product vision and business strategy. In this role, you will make day-to-day decisions while handling low to medium complexity tasks and features.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with studio leadership, designers, engineers, animators, and artists to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics.

  • Serve as a liaison between development teams, management, and external associates to ensure clear communication and coordination.

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining production processes, workflows, tools, and pipelines to optimize efficiency and team performance.

  • Support multidisciplinary teams in crafting a high-quality, immersive, and engaging player experience.

  • Develop and maintain schedules and resource capacity plans to supervise progress against landmarks.

  • Collaborate with Production and Departmental Leads to align tasks with turning points and facilitate communication between teams to lead resources optimally.

  • Coordinate Sprint Planning activities (stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews) to address blockers and track progress.

  • Handle and maintain Jira within the Production team, supporting evolving needs across departments.

  • Identify and assist in leading risks, dependencies, and change requests impacting project plans and budgets.

  • Evaluate process deficiencies, recommend improvements, and deliver key reports and metrics (production reports, team velocity, burndown data).

  • Collaborate with team members to review and evaluate develop, concepts, and driven products.

  • Handle relationships with external partners, contractors, and licensors to ensure alignment and quality.

  • Coordinate licensed asset management, tracking, and approvals to support the development process.

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and feedback to develop partnership and accountability within the team. 

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Typically, a minimum of 2 to 4+ years of experience in production, including project coordination for shipping game titles (preferably AAA). 

  • Strong understanding of the game development lifecycle, theory, and technology. 

  • Proficient in multimedia and project management tools, including ShotGrid, Jira, Confluence, and Excel.

  • Confirmed experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. 

  • A strong skills in communication, partnership, organization, problem-solving & implementing solutions. 


Location/Relocation Requirements

  • Position based in Nova Scotia

  • Willingness to relocate to Nova Scotia is helpful

  • Relocation support may be available for the right candidate
