Role Overview

As Test Manager, you will lead a team of testing and QA professionals, from Testers to Associate Test Managers, ensuring the highest quality standards across 2K's games and products. You will oversee test processes, implement quality strategies, and ensure adequate staffing across assigned projects.

This role is full-time, onsite in Madrid, reporting to the Director, Test.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of testing and QA professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement, including performance reviews and staffing decisions.
  • Establish quality standards, best practices, and ensure compliance with platform holder guidelines (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo).
  • Manage risk, prioritize testing efforts, and ensure timely resolution of issues, including bug tracking and QA reporting.
  • Oversee development milestone sign-off and manage the submission process.
  • Act as the key liaison between QA/Test, Producers, Developers, Compliance, and external departments/studios.
  • Actively participate in recruiting and interviews to grow the team.

What We Need

  • Solid experience in software testing and QA within the video games industry, including experience in a Test/QA Manager role or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, bug database systems, and the test plan/bug-writing process.
  • Proven experience managing and developing QA/Test teams, including performance evaluations and mentoring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.

What Will Make You A Great Fit

  • Knowledge of platform holder standards and submission processes (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo).
  • Experience with MS Office, Source Control, and Visual Studio; technical proficiency with PCs and gaming consoles.
