Position Summary
The Data Test Analyst I play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of game data. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the Data Test Analyst I assist in testing, validating, and analyzing data-driven features and systems within video games.
Primary Responsibilities

Assist in conducting thorough testing and validation of game data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various platforms and environments.

Support the development and execution of basic SQL queries to test game telemetry events and data outcomes.

Learn and comprehend telemetry design and implementation and assist in identifying how new telemetry events impact existing game data.

Collaborate with senior team members to develop and complete test plans tailored to specific data-related features and systems.

Participate in regression testing processes to identify potential data anomalies or regressions caused by code changes or updates.

Assist in analyzing game data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, providing actionable insights to senior team members and collaborators.

Document test cases, findings, and outcomes under the supervision of senior analysts. Give to generating reports to communicate test results effectively.

Work closely with senior analysts, game developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with quality standards.

Stay updated on emerging trends and guidelines in data testing and the gaming industry to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on Quality Assurance matters.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Job-Related Skills

2-4 years of experience in data testing, quality assurance, or a related role (internship experience is acceptable).

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to clearly document findings and provide feedback to level appropriate audiences.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, interpersonal abilities, and a sense of ownership over assigned duties.

Positive attitude along with flexibility, dependability, and excellent social skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Passion for video games and an understanding of gaming mechanics and player behaviors.

Technical Skills:

Basic proficiency in SQL and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python).

Understanding of data structures, databases, and data manipulation techniques.

Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
