Web Production Specialist

What We’re Looking For:
2U is looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Web Production Specialist to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will work with various stakeholders across departments to deliver a world-class experience on our external web properties. You will serve as the primary "hands-on-keyboard" executor for digital properties, personally implementing front-end, CMS-level website changes while ensuring every user touchpoint is optimized for performance, accessibility, and brand consistency.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Web Content Management & Front-End Execution
- Front-End Implementation: Execute a large number of content requests and front-end changes across multiple web properties within the CMS, ensuring timely delivery and technical precision.
- Site Maintenance: Manage the daily production workflow for 2U’s landing page portfolio, including building new pages, updating content, and swapping creative assets.
- QA & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to program brand guidelines, web marketing guidelines, the highest level of User Experience (UX), and web accessibility (WCAG). You are the final line of defense against broken links, layout shifts, or responsive issues.
- Relationship Management & Collaboration
- Stakeholder Partnership: Work with stakeholders to find high-quality web marketing solutions across departments, including Brand, Product, Tech, UX/UI, and Creative teams.
- Project Management: Communicate with non-technical stakeholders to prioritize and deliver complex updates, site redesigns, and new program launches on time and to specification.
- Creative Execution: Manage the development of new web creative concepts with internal teams, ensuring design variations are technically feasible before going live.
- Continuous Learning & Optimization
- Technical Growth: Support Web Production team in technical explorations and research around current or potential new tools to improve efficiency.
- Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date on new products, CMS capabilities, and best practices within digital marketing.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure test variations are technically feasible and align with brand standards before they go live.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in web production, content management, or digital marketing operations.
- CMS Expertise: Strong experience working with WordPress or similar Content Management Systems is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS. You must be comfortable troubleshooting layout issues, inspecting code, and making manual front-end edits when necessary.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage a queue of tasks and communicate timelines clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:
- Experience with Enterprise Headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful).
- Experience with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO).
- Basic image editing skills (Photoshop/Figma) for web asset optimization.
- Familiarity with Jira/Asana for project tracking.
