Senior Multimedia Producer

What We’re Looking For:

We seek a passionate and experienced Senior Multimedia Producer to join our growing creative team. This position is responsible for developing, producing, and delivering high-quality multimedia content to support our organization's objectives. The scope of media assets we produce is diverse, including interviews/testimonials, marketing product videos, various types of photoshoots, animations, motion graphics, and paid video advertising. This person in this position sits on the multimedia team, part of our internal creative agency.

The Creative Marketing team is a full-service in-house agency supporting all marketing efforts across the edX portfolio of programs and products. We act as strategic partners with our marketing stakeholders and seek collaborative solutions to elevate our creativity and drive our business.

A portfolio of work in various formats (video, animation) that demonstrates excellence in multimedia production is required. Please include a link to your portfolio with your application and cover letter.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

1. Hands-On Execution:

  • Interpret creative briefs, analyse best practices, and leverage past performance data to produce high-performing creative marketing videos.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to conceptualise and execute multimedia projects that effectively convey key messages and engage the target audience.
  • Lead the edit process end-to-end, shaping narrative structure, pacing, and emotional impact to deliver high-performing short-form ads and brand content driven by strong storytelling and sound design.
  • Utilise industry-standard editing, motion, and audio software to execute precise cuts, rhythm-driven sequences, sound design layering, and music integration that elevate the final output.
  • Develop visual storyboards to guide multimedia production.
  • Ensure multimedia aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives.
  • Occasionally lead production shoots, managing lighting, cameras, sound, and talent to ensure overall quality, and oversee production teams, locally or remotely, to ensure project success.
  • Perform or oversee post-production tasks, including editing, graphics, motion, and sound.
  • Manage multiple project deadlines across different business lines to ensure high-quality multimedia output for marketing projects.
  • Present creative work to stakeholders with a clear rationale.
  • Maintain an organised multimedia asset management system.
  • Integrate innovative AI solutions to streamline production processes, enhance creative possibilities, and maintain high-quality output across paid, product, and brand video content.

2. Collaboration and Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with teams and stakeholders to promote collaboration and trust.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate objectives into effective multimedia campaigns.
  • Communicate concepts and ideas clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

3. Mentorship:

  • Continuously enhance skills and share knowledge with the team.
  • Mentor junior multimedia producers, fostering growth and collaboration

Management Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the multimedia team's professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of initiative, proactivity, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions to drive creative improvement.
  • Manage team scaling and specialization for productivity.
  • Lead talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
  • Establish relationships with external vendors and contractors, such as production studios, motion designers, and audio engineers.
  • Establish clear and strategic priorities to guide the multimedia team’s focus and direction.
  • Mentor emerging leaders on the multimedia team.

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
  • 5-7 years of industry-relevant experience.
  • High-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Skills in sound and music engineering, using industry-standard tools and software
  • High-level color balancing and color correction skills, using appropriate tools for achieving desired visual aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in using a video collaboration tool like Frame.io for efficient collaboration and feedback on video projects.
  • Proficiency in using Google Office Suite for effective communication, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in working with an industry-standard project management system to ensure efficient planning, organization, and execution of multimedia projects.
  • Experience with lighting, Digital SLR acquisition formats, and grip equipment

Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:

  • Experience in content and product marketing, multi-channel strategy, video production, motion design, videography, photography, animation, and editing.
  • Proficient in all phases of multimedia production.
  • Ability to confidently present to and influence internal stakeholders and teams
  • Experience in multimedia quality management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and concepts
  • Proficiently handles high-pressure situations, meeting tight deadlines while upholding quality and precision with composure and adaptability.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills, actively embracing feedback and art direction from colleagues and stakeholders with a flexible, open-minded approach.
  • Outstanding multitasking and organization, adeptly handling diverse tasks to meet deadlines and produce high-quality results.
