What We’re Looking For:
The Senior Analyst, People Analytics plays an integral role on the People Analytics team by deriving, synthesizing, and presenting insights from our human capital data. These insights influence crucial problem solving and decision making for the HR team and business leaders across 2U. The Senior Analyst, People Analytics is responsible for partnering with the people SLT and 2U business leaders to design and implement data-driven people analytics initiatives. The Senior Analyst is a proactive and autonomous individual contributor who can apply people analytics industry best practices, stakeholder feedback, and technical acumen to a variety of people analytics projects. A key difference between the Senior Analyst position and the Analyst position is that Senior Analysts are expected to operate with a higher degree of autonomy and to be capable of supporting programs that are larger, higher visibility, and/or more complex.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- With limited manager oversight, support 2U in developing data, reporting, and analytics in ways that support attracting, onboarding, retaining, and developing top employees
- Effectively handle confidential employee data with care, respect, and privacy
- Deliver excellent customer service in response to people analytics requests by proactively delivering accurate, timely, and actionable people insights to our customers
- Support efforts to improve data fluency, empowering stakeholders to effectively understand, interpret and apply data
- Build and execute surveys across the employee lifecycle
- Retrieve data from both systems (e.g. Workday, Greenhouse) and databases (e.g. Snowflake) using a combination of report building and SQL queries; collaborate with the HRIS team to ensure reliability and validity of information and reports and craft strategy around data governance and security
- Use reporting and analytics tools to maintain, improve, and develop people analytics products through a lens of data storytelling
- Lead, develop, and grow a partnership with 2U business leaders to provide them with the insights they need to effectively understand and action people data
- Interpret and communicate complex analytical principles in simplistic terms to varied audiences through formal reports and/or meeting presentations to stakeholders
- Autonomously lead relevant people analytics projects (i.e. employee listening, data governance, data fluency, etc.), serving as a project manager and technical resource
- Mentor people analysts in technical and soft skills development, serving as a culture ambassador for the people analytics team
- Apply people analytics industry best practices, stakeholder feedback, and technical acumen to a variety of people analytics products
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- Relevant degree in Economics, Computer Science, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Data Analytics, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive people analytics experience
- Expert proficiency in Google Sheets, Slides, and Forms; advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint also critical.
- Working knowledge of Workday, Greenhouse, Snowflake, and Tableau, or the proven ability to learn and master new systems quickly.
- Working knowledge of employee listening survey platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, WorkTango)
- Demonstrable creativity; the capacity to produce aesthetically professional visuals, and an aptitude for compelling and persuasive storytelling.
- The ability to “zoom in” and “out”, balancing detail with informed strategic perspective.
- Strong HR acumen; a sound understanding of each component of the employee lifecycle
- Superior written and verbal communication, with experience presenting professionally and translating technical projects to non-technical stakeholders.
- Intrinsic drive to exceed defined expectations and objectives, and the energy to constantly pursue optimization and people analytics innovation.
- Recommended: Experience in complex people analytics tools and techniques (i.e. predictive analytics, advanced survey design, R, Python, SQL, text analysis, etc.)

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($130,000 - $145,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
