Roofing Sales Team Lead 

 

Position Overview

The Roofing Sales Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging training programs for new and existing sales representatives, with a primary focus on door-to-door sales strategies. This role combines in-classroom learning, field shadowing, and on-the-job coaching to ensure reps are confident, knowledgeable, and ready to exceed performance expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Door-to-Door Sales Coaching

    • Train reps in door-knocking strategy, including lead generation, pitch scripting, overcoming objections, and safety protocols.

    • Role-play and simulate real-world scenarios to improve D2D communication and confidence.

    • Monitor and shadow field activities to provide real-time feedback and coaching.

  • Onboarding & Sales Ramp-Up

    • Lead onboarding sessions for new hires with structured ramp-up plans and sales goal timelines.

    • Coordinate with sales leadership to track new hire progress and identify coaching opportunities.

  • Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement

    • Analyze sales KPIs to identify training needs and performance gaps.

    • Work with management to improve underperformers and accelerate high-potential reps.

    • Maintain documentation of training sessions, progress, and certifications.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Partner with Sales Managers, HR, and Marketing to align training efforts with company goals.

    • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to inform curriculum updates.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in roofing or construction sales, with proven success in door-to-door sales

  • 1+ years of experience in training, coaching, or team leadership preferred

  • Excellent public speaking, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Proficient in using CRM systems (AccuLynx, preferred)

  • Comfortable working in both classroom and field environments

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
