Managing Director, Italy (f/m/x)

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre professional to grow and develop HelloFresh Italy, one of our young and promising markets. In this role, you will take over strategic as well as operational ownership for our Italian market, and will lead a driven, talented and motivated team that wants to change the way Italians eat forever! We're searching for a highly capable, driven and hand-ons leader who is excited to take our Italian business to new heights.

This role is based in Milan and reporting into Martin Pollet, CEO France, Spain and Italy.

What you’ll do

  • Lead HelloFresh Italy and be responsible for its future success
  • Define HelloFresh Italy’s strategy and roadmap, and take our HelloFresh Italy to new highs 
  • Own P&L of HelloFresh Italy, accountable for business planning, performance versus targets and milestones
  • Manage a team of 30+ people across Product, Operations - incl. Purchasing, Logistics, Production -, Marketing and People
  • Inspire a positive team dynamic culture, exemplifying the HelloFresh DNA 
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders across the group, bringing a positive approach to stakeholder management across the HelloFresh business and teams globally.

What you’ll bring

  • An entreprenurial mindset, with experience in D2C marketing, product development and operations or supply chain management. 
  • Top soft skills, with the ability to lead with empathy, negotiate and influence
  • Analytical skills and a track-record of data-driven decision making
  •  Extensive experience in fast-paced, high-intensity environments - e.g. early stage / growth startups (as a founder or co-founder), top-flight management consultancy or investment banking
  • An academic background from a top-tier university in business or engineering. 
  • Excellent business acumen and understanding
  • Experience in managing  teams of around 30 people and multiple business functions
