  • Position Type: Direct Hire / Note: This is not a contract role
  • Pay Range: $90K - $105K based on experience

What You’ll Be Doing: 

As a Software Engineer II at Patriot, you’ll build and enhance customer-facing web applications using clean, maintainable code. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and product partners, take ownership of well-scoped features, and continue growing your full-stack skills in a modern, tested, and scalable environment. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Implement and maintain well-scoped features in scalable web-based applications
  • Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional team members to deliver business value
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, learning from senior engineers
  • Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions by asking good questions and sharing thoughtful input
  • Support and follow development practices (e.g., CI/CD, testing, monitoring)
  • Engage in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and risks in a timely and transparent way
  • Support Patriots’ values through positive interactions with internal and external stakeholders

What You’ll Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience
  • Professional experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Vue.js)
  • Experience with .NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework
  • Experience working with relational databases (especially Postgres) and building transactional systems
  • Understanding of basic microservice concepts and cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
  • Ability to write reliable, maintainable, and performant code
  • Ability to work through requirements with support from senior engineers when needed
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for continuous learning and improvement
  • Consistent, reliable high-speed internet access
  • Dedicated, quiet workspace free from distractions

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with financial technology or regulated industries
  • Exposure to large-scale or high-transaction systems

Location & Commitments:

  • Full-time, direct-hire, 100% remote role
  • Open to candidates residing in and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Not open to applicants residing in: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Washington D.C.
  • Core hours: 8 am–5 pm EST, Monday–Friday
  • Some flexibility is required during busy seasons or critical “right-now” moments
