Integrated Program Director

As Integrated Program Director at 5WPR, you will play a critical leadership role in transforming our agency into a leader in integrated marketing communications. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless collaboration between PR and Digital teams, driving alignment across paid, earned, shared, and owned media strategies to deliver cohesive, results-driven campaigns for our clients.

This role is pivotal in overseeing multi-channel programs, optimizing cross-team workflows, and fostering a culture of integration and innovation. You will bridge the gap between traditional PR, digital marketing, influencer marketing, and performance media—ensuring our clients benefit from a holistic, impact-driven approach to communications.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Strategic Leadership & Integration

    • Develop and implement an integrated marketing communications framework that unifies PR, digital, social, influencer, and performance marketing teams.
    • Ensure alignment between brand storytelling, reputation management, and digital performance to drive measurable client success.
    • Establish best practices for cross-functional collaboration, ensuring PR insights influence digital activation strategies and vice versa.

    Program Development & Execution

    • Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel campaigns that integrate earned media, content marketing, influencer collaborations, and paid digital efforts.
    • Work with teams to create cohesive messaging, audience targeting, and channel strategies that deliver seamless brand experiences.
    • Ensure all campaign elements are aligned with KPIs, optimizing for awareness, engagement, and conversion.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Act as the primary liaison between PR, digital, creative, and performance teams, ensuring cross-discipline collaboration.
    • Facilitate regular cross-team strategy sessions to align messaging, content distribution, and measurement approaches.
    • Champion the adoption of integrated workflows, processes, and tools to streamline campaign execution and improve efficiency.

    Client Strategy & Relationship Management

    • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, helping them navigate the evolving landscape of integrated communications.
    • Lead key client discussions, ensuring our approach is data-driven, insight-led, and performance-focused.
    • Drive collaboration between internal teams and clients to establish clear objectives and measurement frameworks.

    Budget & Resource Management

    • Oversee budgets across earned, owned, and paid media efforts, ensuring funds are allocated effectively to drive impact.
    • Manage program resources, ensuring teams are equipped with the necessary tools, talent, and technology to execute at the highest level.

    Performance Monitoring & Optimization

    • Develop measurement frameworks that evaluate the success of integrated campaigns, ensuring clear attribution and ROI tracking.
    • Use data-driven insights to optimize media mix, messaging, and activation strategies across PR and digital efforts.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and evolving consumer behaviors to continually refine integrated strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven leadership experience in integrated marketing, communications, or media, with a track record of driving cross-team collaboration.
  • Deep understanding of PR, digital marketing, and performance media, including paid social, influencer marketing, content distribution, and analytics.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and execute multi-channel campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, able to bridge the gap between creative storytelling and data-driven marketing.
  • Experience managing budgets, resources, and performance metrics to optimize campaign outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving agency environment, driving innovation and integration at every level.

Here’s what you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in integrated marketing communications, with a focus on bridging PR and digital marketing within an agency or brand environment.
  • Strong understanding of PR and digital marketing channels, including social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, paid media, and performance marketing.
  • Experience with campaign tracking, measurement, and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, or other reporting platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, derive actionable insights, and optimize campaigns for performance and ROI.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, capable of overseeing multiple integrated campaigns simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and quality.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a talent for aligning cross-functional teams, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring seamless integration between PR and digital efforts.
  • Proactive and strategic thinker, staying ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in integrated marketing and campaign management.

NYC Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000 USD
