GEO & PR Coordinator

Florida

GEO & PR Coordinator (Generative Engine Optimization)

Type: Full-time
Location: Miami, FL

About the Role:

We're looking for a GEO & PR Coordinator to join 5W's content team and grow our presence — and the presence of our AI Visibility Index research — across both traditional search and AI-powered answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini. This is a hands-on role for someone with a couple years of experience creating content across formats (written, video, social) who's excited to help get our research picked up by media outlets and cited by AI engines alike.

This role sits at the intersection of content, PR, and AI search, and it's built for someone who already lives in AI tools day-to-day, not someone learning them for the first time. You'll use AI not just to optimize for AI search engines, but as a core part of how you work.

What You'll Do:

Content Creation

  • Write blog posts, articles, FAQs, and web copy optimized for both readers and AI answer engines
  • Create short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) that supports brand visibility and repurposes into written content (and vice versa)
  • Develop and manage a social content calendar, adapting core content into platform-specific formats
  • Script, film, and edit video content with minimal oversight
  • Build hub and cluster content around the AI Visibility Index and related research, designed to move brand marketers to contact 5W
  • Structure content in clear, answer-first formats (direct answers up top, scannable headers, lists, tables) that AI models can easily parse and cite
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, etc.) daily to speed up research, drafting, editing, and light prototyping — e.g., building quick interactive pages or visualizations to accompany studies

Public Relations & Media Outreach

  • Own the pitching of the AI Visibility Index and other proprietary studies, data, and reports to relevant media outlets and journalists
  • Build and maintain media lists/contacts relevant to our industry and study topics
  • Write pitch emails, press releases, and media one-pagers summarizing key study findings, meeting 5W's sourcing and verification standards as a baseline expectation on every piece
  • Package studies with visuals, sourceable data, and quotable stats that make them easy for reporters to cite
  • Manage follow-up communication with journalists and fulfill media requests (data, quotes, interviews)
  • Maintain a clear line from each placement to any resulting inbound inquiry, so leadership can see what earned media is producing

GEO & SEO

  • Conduct keyword and topic research to inform content planning
  • Implement on-page SEO (titles, meta descriptions, alt text, internal linking)
  • Own and grow 5W's presence and citations in AI-generated answers, tracked through Profound and Otterly
  • Support structured data/schema implementation in collaboration with the SEO & GEO Manager
  • Monitor brand mentions and citations across both AI responses and media coverage

Performance & Reporting

  • Pull and analyze performance data from tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/Semrush, Profound, and Otterly
  • Report on citation growth, placement quality, and the inbound signals they generate
  • Stay current on how AI search engines and journalists source and cite content — this space changes monthly
  • Collaborate with senior SEO/GEO, PR, and content team members to refine strategy based on results

What You'll Need

  • 1–3 years experience in content creation, PR, social media, or marketing
  • Strong writing skills — clear, accurate, and adaptable across formats (articles, pitches, scripts, captions)
  • Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form video content
  • Working knowledge of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) and their content norms
  • Active, regular user of AI tools in your workflow — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc. — for research, writing, and content production
  • Comfort with AI-assisted platforms like Lovable, Replit, Cursor, or similar "vibe-coding" tools to quickly prototype landing pages, interactive content, or simple web tools
  • Some experience with media pitching, press releases, or journalist relationships
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple content and outreach threads simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of basic SEO/GEO principles (schema, structured data, on-page optimization)
  • Strong, consistent commitment to sourcing accuracy and fact-checking — not negotiable given the visibility of the research this role supports

Nice to Have

  • A portfolio showing published content, media placements, and/or video work
  • Experience with editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Rush, Canva, etc.)
  • Experience with media database tools (Cision, Muck Rack, etc.) and AI visibility tracking tools (Profound, Otterly)
  • Background in digital publishing, journalism, or agency PR
  • Basic HTML/CMS familiarity (WordPress)

Why you’ll love working here:

  • Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits & wellness programs including partnership with ClassPass!
  • Flexible PTO
  • Summer Fridays and Winter, Spring, and Fall Fridays too!
  • Hybrid work model offering flexibility and work-life balance
  • Expanded parental leave and family planning support
  • Continuous learning through “5W University” and development initiatives
  • Student Loan Reimbursement
  • Professional Development Support
  • Exclusive access to season tickets for pro sports teams along with Broadway shows, and more!
  • Charitable giving, including matching donations

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
