Proposal Strategist, Creative Strategy (Contract-to-Hire)

This is a contract position starting immediately, with the opportunity to move into a full-time role.

Overview:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, strategic proposal and program strategist to support our Creative Strategy team across PR, digital, and omnichannel opportunities. This is an executional role focused on translating team thinking into polished proposals and timelines—an ideal fit for someone who understands the building blocks of integrated communications programs, and has a knack for tightening copy, organizing decks, and managing deliverable timelines under deadlines.

We’re looking for someone who can bring clarity, logic, and structure to the proposal process—supporting big ideas without needing to concept them from scratch. The ideal candidate would have experience across multiple verticals, from Corporate & Tech (B2B Tech, B2C Tech, Corporate Communications, Crisis) to Consumer Lifestyle, Beauty, Health & Wellness, CPG and beyond as this will be a hybrid role supporting our Corporate and Consumer divisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and organize proposals, new business decks, case studies, and capabilities decks and PR and digital clients across a range of sectors.
  • Collaborate with account and digital teams to bring proposals to life from outline to final format.
  • Maintain ownership of timelines and project milestones during proposal development.
  • Refine and rewrite copy to match client tone, business objectives, and pitch goals.
  • Translate strategy and tactics into clear, compelling slides and supporting copy.
  • Monitor proposal performance (win/loss), and help update proposal templates, capabilities decks, and case studies.
  • Ensure digital asset drives are kept up-to-date and organized.
  • Research relevant trends, competitors, or category benchmarks to support proposals when needed.
  • Ensure proposals are buttoned-up, grammatically sound, visually organized, and on deadline.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in public relations, creative strategy, marketing, or digital communications; exposure to agency new business or strategy teams is a plus.
  • Strong writing, editing, and deck-building skills.
  • Understanding of PR and digital tactics, including influencer marketing, social campaigns, and integrated brand strategy.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and juggling multiple deadlines.
  • Comfort with project management tools or practices (e.g., Slack, Monday, etc.)
  • Proficiency in deck building, AI, and research platforms like Google Slides, Claude/ChatGPT, Resonate, Profound, etc.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-obsessed.

This Role Is For You If You:

  • Can take a messy brainstorm and turn it into a polished proposal.
  • Enjoy being the “glue” that connects teams and keeps work on track.
  • Want exposure to a range of industries and programs in both PR and digital marketing.
  • Love refining copy and building decks that communicate strategy clearly.
