People Operations Associate (temp to perm)

This is a temporary position starting immediately, with the potential to convert to permanent full-time role

5W Public Relations is looking to add a dynamic professional to join our growing People and Talent Acquisition team.

Day-to-day tasks include critical support work, such as scheduling candidates, answering employee inquiries, all while providing excellent customer service to our employees and leaders. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support teammates on assorted people-related projects.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Recruiting:

  • Support recruitment team by scheduling candidate phone screens and interviews through our ATS system, Greenhouse.
  • Create a seamless experience for our candidates and hiring managers
  • Liaise with business to collect feedback and identify next steps for candidates
  • Maintain and track candidate pipelines in a web-based applicant tracking system, Greenhouse
  • Work with talent team to post position ads to various websites
  • Assist with pre and post-employment requirements
  • Additional projects as needed

People Operations:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee filing systems and ensure changes are entered appropriately in HRIS system
  • Provide timely and accurate administrative assistance to the team when necessary including, but not limited to, expense reports, tracker updates, and internal communications
  • Provide periodic information throughout the year to employees on relevant updates
  • Support the People Operations team on ongoing projects
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including communications, HR documentation, employee records, surveys, and HRIS updates
  • HR Recurring Processes - Provide support to HR team on Performance Management, Benefits Administration, employment verifications (including I-9s), Interns/Mentorship programs, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and more as necessary

Here’s what you have:

  • Prior internship or full-time experience in a professional environment; experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, or People Operations preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; experience with HRIS/ATS platforms such as HiBob and Greenhouse is a plus.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar expense management systems is a plus.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn, ask questions, and continuously improve processes.
  • Comfortable using AI and emerging technology as tools to work efficiently, problem-solve, and support day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to take ownership of new tasks and responsibilities.
