
Senior Maintenance Technician, Electrical
The opportunity
The role of a Senior Maintenance Technician, Electrical involves highly skilled and experienced work in electrical system installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This individual is responsible for troubleshooting issues, providing technical expertise, and collaborating closely with the Property Manager and Maintenance Team. They will manage work orders assigned by the Property Manager and must work autonomously and responsibly with minimal supervision, adhering to all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain buildings, tenant spaces, and common areas in optimal condition.
Full-time position with 40 guaranteed hours per week; overtime opportunities available.

What you'll do
- Perform advanced electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, security, and backup power systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical components, wiring, and fixtures to ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
- Lead electrical projects and upgrades, including planning, execution, and documentation.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide maintenance and installation work.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to support integrated building system functions.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and system conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local electrical codes, as well as internal safety and operational policies.
Who you are
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in commercial buildings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial electrical systems, including high and low voltage distribution.
- Experience with energy management systems (EMS), building automation systems (BAS), and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Proven experience as an Electrical technician with the ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Experience using hand and electrical tools.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and MaintainX (or similar software).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with property managers, building owners, and other team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- State-certified Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
- OSHA 10/30 Certification preferred.

Salary Range
We seek to hire top-tier individuals and intend for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision. Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.
Hourly pay range
$35 - $42 USD
