Overview of Role

As a Lead QA Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring quality for high-impact mobile applications within our AI-driven ecosystem. This role requires a unique blend of deep manual mobile testing expertise and advanced automation skills specifically tailored for the iOS platform. You will lead the charge in implementing modern testing methodologies, integrating Swift and XCTest into our CI/CD pipelines, and pioneering the use of prompt-based AI testing tools to accelerate our delivery cycles. You aren't just a tester; you are a quality strategist who ensures that our clients' intelligent systems are robust, intuitive, and flawless

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute a comprehensive mobile QA strategy that balances rigorous manual exploration with high-coverage automated testing.
  • iOS Automation: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites using Swift and XCTest (XCUITest) to ensure the stability of native iOS applications.
  • Manual Mobile Testing: Perform deep-dive manual testing on mobile devices, focusing on UI/UX, hardware integrations, and edge-case scenarios that automation may miss.
  • AI-Driven Quality: Integrate prompt-based AI testing tools into the QA lifecycle to generate test cases, simulate user behaviors, and automate documentation.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Developers, Product Managers, and AI Architects to identify quality risks early in the SDLC (Shift-Left).
  • Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior QA engineers, establishing best practices for code reviews, bug reporting, and test data management.
  • Reporting: Create detailed quality metrics and dashboards to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into product health and release readiness.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior capacity.
  • Mobile Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of mobile-specific testing challenges (e.g., memory management, network throttling, battery consumption, and fragmentation).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Swift and deep hands-on experience with XCTest/XCUITest.
  • AI Innovation: Demonstrated experience or high proficiency in using Generative AI and prompt engineering to enhance testing productivity (e.g., using AI to write scripts or analyze logs).
  • CI/CD: Experience integrating mobile automation into CI/CD workflows (e.g., Bitrise, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
  • Tooling: Familiarity with proxy tools (Charles Proxy, Proxyman), crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and test management software.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related or equivalent work experience required.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical quality issues to non-technical stakeholders.
