Overview of Role

66degrees is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager who has evolved from a strong software engineering background into a delivery leadership role. This role operates at the intersection of product strategy, technical architecture, and engineering execution. You will play a critical role in translating business vision into scalable technical solutions, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive execution and ensure quality. This role requires someone who can balance technical depth with delivery excellence, thriving in ambiguity to build solutions that create measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of software engineering projects from planning to release, contributing to roadmap and feature definition.
• Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure predictable delivery while proactively identifying risks and trade-offs.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams on system design, architecture, and technical decisions, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Drive execution across backend, frontend, and cloud-based systems, partnering with AI and data teams to build data-driven products.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, code quality, and scalable architecture through structured yet flexible workflows.
• Lead Agile processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to improve team velocity and predictability.
• Work with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into clear technical execution plans and architecture artifacts.
• Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes effectively to leadership and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Identify and manage dependencies and blockers, driving continuous improvement in delivery processes and team performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with a strong foundation in software engineering, architecture, or technical delivery roles.
• Proven experience in system design, solution architecture, and leading the deployment of scalable applications.
• 3+ years of experience in Delivery or Technical Project Management, with prior experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field required.
• Hands-on expertise in backend development (Python/Java/Node.js) and frontend frameworks (React or similar).
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure), microservices, and CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps; Scrum certifications (CSM/PSM) preferred.
