Overview of Role
We are seeking a highly accomplished Technical Program Manager (TPM) to assume a critical delivery leadership role. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional who has successfully transitioned from a strong software engineering foundation. The successful candidate will be the nexus between technical depth and delivery excellence, collaborating intimately with engineering teams to ensure flawless execution, uncompromising quality, and the deployment of high-impact solutions.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from strategic planning through to final release.
- Define project scope, establish timelines, and manage resource allocation for predictable delivery outcomes.
- Advise engineering teams on critical system design, architecture decisions, and technical strategies.
- Direct execution across diverse technical stacks, including backend, frontend, and modern cloud-based systems.
- Enforce engineering best practices, maintain high code quality, and champion scalable architectures.
- Lead and optimize all phases of Agile methodologies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives).
- Continuously track, analyze, and enhance key performance indicators (velocity, predictability, quality metrics).
- Proactively identify, prioritize, and manage project risks, dependencies, and potential blockers.
- Translate business requirements into detailed, actionable technical execution plans with stakeholders.
- Provide transparent communication on project status, risks, and outcomes to technical and executive teams.
- Champion continuous improvement across delivery processes, Agile adoption, and overall team performance.
Qualifications
Experience
- 6–12 years of combined experience in software engineering and technical program delivery.
- A strong foundation as a Software Developer/Engineer (must-have).
- Prior experience serving as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer before transitioning into dedicated delivery/program management roles.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Delivery or Technical Project Management.
Technical Expertise
- Hands-on Development: Proven hands-on experience in:
- Backend development (Python / Java / Node.js).
- Frontend frameworks (React or similar).
- Core Systems Knowledge: Strong theoretical and practical understanding of:
- System design & architecture.
- Microservices and APIs.
- Cloud platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure).
Tools & Methodologies
- Expertise in Agile / Scrum frameworks.
- Proficiency with program management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of Scrum certifications (CSM / PSM).
- Relevant exposure to data or AI/ML projects (good to have, not mandatory).
