The Procurement Analyst’s primary focus will be to support and execute on corporate-wide procurement strategies, policy, process to drive value and mitigate risk. This role will support the procurement function through strategic planning actions, tactical execution of the end-to-end procurement process, and vendor management activities. This Procurement Analyst will also be responsible for the procurement lifecycle through building and managing internal relationships, contract negotiation, executing sourcing activities, performing analysis and managing reporting, and assisting in the oversight of procurement systems.
Responsibilities
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- In collaboration with internal teams identify, develop, and lead process improvements across the sourcing and procurement process
- With guidance from procurement leaders, identify and forecast business needs and strategic plans to drive results for the business
- Provide data analytics across vendor spend and activity by business area
- Collaborate with business stakeholders on pricing, quotes and negotiating contracts, including development of alternate sourcing strategies when necessary
- Coordinate with appropriate business partners (such as Legal, Risk, Security, IT, FP&A, etc.) on a regular basis to review and discuss risk, budget implications of strategic sourcing initiatives
- Lead, conduct, and/or support contract negotiations with business stakeholders and suppliers to include evaluation, negotiation, and execution of agreements across various business areas and spend categories
- Perform contract administration duties as it relates to capturing contract execution, termination, renewals, and payment terms
- Work with suppliers and internal clients to identify and research problems relevant to contractual obligations
- Identifying potential risk exposures based on company and market dynamics
- Identify alternatives to current vendor base and develop relationships with suppliers
- Work with internal business stakeholders and suppliers to identify manage contractual obligations and develop corrective action plans to resolve when necessary
- Work towards quality, service, and vendor accountability, and help develop alternate sourcing strategies
- Responsible for proactive and consistent communication on all projects, contracts, sourcing events and other milestones to management, team members and business stakeholders
- Support communication of process and policy best practices across organization
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 3+ years experieice in a Procurement function supporting stragegic sourcing, negotiations, and vendor management activities
- Self-directed and self-motivated; can work independently and in a team environment as necessary to drive results and build relationships across the organization
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize and communicate analyses in a clear and compelling manner
- Knowledge of and experience working with procurement software
- Proficient experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
