What we’re looking for:

As Principal Public Relations Manager, your mission is to strengthen our reputation and drive high-level awareness with a differentiated and compelling narrative that connects 6sense to our audiences of customers, prospects, investors, media, employees, and analysts. You will directly contribute to positioning 6sense as the leading B2B go-to-market platform for revenue teams as you drive the strategic planning, development and tactical execution of the public relations strategy.

You are a brilliant communicator, curious story-seeker, and wizard with words. You have a passion for storytelling that starts with knowing the right story for the right audience and developing a compelling pitch to secure the coverage. You have a natural ability to develop strategy and drive execution.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the efforts to secure positive media coverage with top tier business, financial, and trade press through proactive media relations programs that leverage a variety of tactics and approaches.
  • Strengthen relationships with key media outlets to ensure our messaging is accurately reflected in industry news.
  • Develop the editorial strategy and calendar to support business and marketing communications objectives for our branded and executive thought leadership efforts including, byline content, executive social media, podcasts interviews, speaking opportunities and other programming.
  • Partner with our internal research and product teams to seek and create opportunities to share data-driven stories that earn attention all on their own and bring our reasons-to-believe to life.
  • Oversee and manage media opportunities through to completion, ensuring successful message pull through, prepared speakers, managed timelines, social promotion and impactful outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to lead content ideation, creation, amplification, and measurement requirements.
  • Partner with our social media team to build programs and content that amplify announcements and media coverage.
  • Stay on top of the trends relevant to our industry and technology to leverage in our efforts.
  • Maintain an understanding of our competitive landscape, particularly messaging, positioning, and announcements.

What you’ll bring to this role:

  • 8+ years professional experience in Public Relations supporting B2B enterprise SaaS leaders, preferably targeting go-to-market audiences. Ideally brings established relationships and familiarity with key media contacts and influencers who cover B2B enterprise SaaS and beyond.
  • Passion for and ability to lead strategic in-house PR programs that deliver results. This includes growing coverage in trade and top tier media outlets, deepening existing and expanding new relationships with reporters, securing high value speaking opportunities and podcast interviews for our thought leaders, and earning recognition from relevant business and industry awards and lists.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI and leverage AI-driven insights in crafting PR strategies: Experience or aptitude in understanding AI technologies for interpreting data-driven insights, optimizing media outreach, and refining messaging to resonate effectively with target audiences, at minimum, is desired.
  • Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills; a penchant for storytelling, high standards, and attention to detail; excels in synthesizing complex concepts into clear, concise, and powerfully engaging messages across multiple communication disciplines.
  • Affinity for building trust and positive relationships with colleagues, executives, stakeholders, business partners, and leaders across all levels and geographies to influence, guide messaging, and uncover unique stories.
  • Well-organized with excellent planning and project management skills; self-directed and resourceful managing a portfolio of diverse projects to completion.
  • Strong sense of urgency and importance, with a demonstrated ability to complete projects in a timely manner, communicate progress and needs, recalibrate priorities as business needs change, and influence others to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Eager to learn, develop and grow; willing to receive and provide feedback to improve.
  • Creative thinker, comfortable pushing the boundaries creatively and experimenting with inventive campaigns; experience managing creative work that meets business objectives.

Base Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $165,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to work location and experience. The base salary is one component of 6sense’s total compensation package for this position. Other compensation may include a bonus program or commission plan, and stock options if approved by 6sense’s board. In addition, 6sense provides a variety of benefits, including generous health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, self-care days, and paid time off (PTO). #Li-remote
