6sense is a data-centric product and as a member of the CoreData Analytics organization, the Analytics Engineers serve as the backbone of data enablement, data development and data democratization to continually strengthen and ensure the 6sense data-moat’s competitive advantage. 
 
Senior Analytics Engineer is responsible for planning, ideation and execution of novel analytics long term projects - leads high-value, cross-functional analytics initiatives and works closely with leadership to develop 6sense’s data assets. They are also responsible for development of customer data, product and usage data, and development of 6sense data-assets, alongside managing stakeholder relationships for a product area.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities : 

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives end-to-end: scope, execution, milestones, risks, communication, and measurable outcomes aligned to core data strategy 
  • Design measurable and actionable KPIs and metrics that empower product teams to understand the health and performance of proprietary data assets powering 6sense applications 
  • Think beyond dashboards : enabling agentic, self-serve BI experiences that democratize data-driven decision-making 
  • Enable self-serve analytics through documentation, lineage, data discovery, and stakeholder enablement for product and GTM teams 
  • Build internal tooling and automation using APIs and agentic workflows (e.g., Bedrock, Windsurf) to accelerate development, debugging, and data operations 
  • Leverage agentic tools (Copilot, Hex, Windsurf, etc.) to standardize analytics engineering workflows (code generation with guardrails, test creation, documentation) and improve team throughput 
  • Design, build, and own scalable analytics pipelines that reliably process billions of rows with strong performance, quality, and SLAs 
  • Own partner/provider data evaluation by defining benchmarking frameworks (coverage, accuracy, freshness, and cost), and collaborate with Product and Engineering to build efficient, resilient ingestion pipelines 
  • Partner with Data Platform/Engineering to improve performance and cost efficiency through query optimization and warehouse best practices 
  • Collaborate with leadership to design state-of-the-art analytics processes for your team 
  • Synthesize and communicate insights across the company, tailoring the message from ICs to executive leadership to drive decisions. Socialize insights broadly and effectively - from team forums to executive readouts, ensuring learnings translate into measurable action.

  • Drive impactful analytical initiatives within the assigned feature area or product teams, delivering insights that support product and business decisions. 
  • Maintain thorough documentation of analytical processes, insights, and methodologies, and contribute to improving operational processes for efficiency and transparency. 
  • Conceptualize and execute high-value analytical projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Identify opportunities to enhance team efficiency and collaboration, ensuring smooth stakeholder communication and alignment on deliverables. 
  • Provide timely communication of insights and recommendations, on Pager Duty and stakeholder requests.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving, using data to drive decision-making. 
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, big-data, BI tools like tableau, knowledge of how APIs work etc.

Educational and Experience Requirements : 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or math-based discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analytics or engineering. 
  • Expert-level SQL knowledge, with proficiency in large-scale data manipulation and performance optimization. 
  • Strong experience leading cross-functional projects from ideation through execution. 
  • Some development experience with data architecture, pipelines, and ETL processes.
