About the Role

Social media at 6sense is about more than publishing content. It is about building a community of modern go-to-market leaders who want to learn, share what works, and continuously raise the bar.

The Social Media Manager is responsible for shaping and executing 6sense’s social presence as a place where marketers, sellers, and revenue teams come to discover new ideas, learn from industry peers, and see what winning teams are doing differently.

This role ensures all social media strategy, content, and community engagement reflects 6sense’s position as the leading platform for B2B pipeline generation and a trusted voice for the next generation of go-to-market leaders.

Equally important, this role helps activate and inspire internal advocacy across the company. By ensuring employees are aware of the company’s momentum, proud of the impact 6sense is making, and equipped with compelling stories to share, this role helps turn employees into authentic champions of the brand and its mission.

The role requires someone who is resourceful and works both collaboratively and independently, exercises strong business judgment, and combines creativity with deep analytical thinking. The ideal candidate is curious, experimental, and driven to build a meaningful and engaged audience.

This role reports to the VP of Creative & Communications and works closely with cross-functional partners across Marketing (and beyond) to bring integrated ideas to life.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Social Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and evolve the organic social media strategy to grow 6sense’s presence and influence among B2B marketing, sales, and revenue leaders
  • Identify emerging conversations, trends, and opportunities that position 6sense at the center of industry dialogue
  • Translate company priorities, research, product innovation, and customer stories into compelling social narratives

Content Development & Publishing

  • Lead the development and management of the social editorial calendar
  • Create and publish high-impact content that educates, challenges thinking, and inspires GTM teams to improve how they operate
  • Experiment with formats, storytelling techniques, and creative approaches that stand out in B2B feeds
  • Ensure social content consistently reinforces 6sense’s category leadership and thought leadership

Community Engagement

  • Foster meaningful conversations with practitioners, customers, partners, and industry influencers
  • Nurture and support a vibrant community where practitioners can share ideas and learn from one another

Employee Advocacy & Internal Engagement

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure employees are aware of and excited about key company announcements, milestones, and thought leadership
  • Create and promote opportunities for employees to amplify company news and insights through their own social networks
  • Help cultivate a culture of advocacy where employees feel proud to represent and support the 6sense brand
  • Provide guidance, inspiration, and resources that make it easy for employees to participate in social storytelling

Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor and analyze social performance metrics to continuously improve reach, engagement, and audience growth
  • Translate analytics into actionable insights and new experiments
  • Identify what resonates most with the audience and evolve the strategy accordingly

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with PR, Events & ABX, Growth Marketing, Customer Marketing, Content Marketing, and Product Marketing to amplify campaigns, launches, research, and thought leadership
  • Bring social-first ideas into broader marketing and communications initiatives
  • Help turn key company moments into meaningful industry conversations

Performance Measurement

Success in this role will be measured through both audience growth and the depth of engagement within the community, including:

  • Growth of social audience among target GTM professionals
  • Engagement rates and quality of interactions across priority channels
  • Contribution of social media to brand awareness and pipeline
  • Performance of social content tied to campaigns, launches, and major initiatives
  • Adoption and participation in employee advocacy initiatives
  • Increase in employee engagement with and amplification of company social content
  • Development of new formats, approaches, and experiments that increase reach and impact
  • Ability to consistently surface insights and optimize strategy based on analytics

Qualifications

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience managing social media for a B2B technology company, media brand, or similar environment
  • Demonstrated success building engaged audiences and growing brand presence on social platforms
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn and the broader B2B social ecosystem
  • Experience developing social content strategies that align with broader marketing and business goals
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and editorial instincts
  • Experience using social analytics tools to evaluate performance and guide strategy
  • Familiarity with marketing, sales, or go-to-market topics is highly valued

Base Salary Range: $89,411 to $120,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to work location and experience. The base salary is one component of 6sense’s total compensation package for this position. Other compensation may include a bonus program or commission plan, and stock options if approved by 6sense’s board. In addition, 6sense provides a variety of benefits, including generous health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, self-care days, and paid time off (PTO). #Li-remote
