This position is responsible for independently overseeing and successfully delivering business critical strategic initiatives by managing the full delivery lifecycle of organizationally & technically complex projects within the Kroger family. This position is expected to support multiple projects & programs, ensuring scope, budget, timelines, & deliverables are clearly defined & accepted by key stakeholders, while maintaining project team focus on accepted success criteria. In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive project plan & an effective governance structure focused on successful project delivery. This role also requires a strong focus in cross-functional communication with business leadership, demonstrated risk management experience, & a relentless focus on continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads highly complex projects spanning multiple disciplines, such as data science, software development, &infrastructure through agile & hybrid project practices
- Proficiently develops, organizes, & implements project governance frameworks, guiding teams to maximize project success effectively & efficiently
- Identifies, assesses, & strategically manages project risks with a strategic focus on risk prioritization & mitigation to ensure project stability
- Creates, maintains, & consistently publishes project artifacts maintaining clear, actionable insights with stakeholders
- Proficiently anticipates, identifies, & manages risks, issues, & dependencies for supported projects Adeptly leads project sponsorship updates & steering committees with executive stakeholders
- Evaluate needed project decisions & provide insightful recommendations to key leadership stakeholders Independently manages & reports with a comprehensive understanding of scope, schedule, & financial baselines for supported projects
- Proactively ensures project sponsors & key stakeholders are apprised of execution status & seeks sponsorship support, as needed
- Maintains a focus on continuous improvement, lessons learned, & organizational efficiencies
- Relentlessly leads project teams and drives for exceptional delivery performance by encouraging speed, accountability, & value realization
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of relevant Project Management experience
- Experience with MS Office related tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
- Experience with Project Management tools preferred
- Project Management certifications preferred
- Experience in Agile methodologies preferred
- Excellent leadership 8: team management skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate stakeholders
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, 8: communication skills Excellent problem solving & critical thinking skills
- Experience in a heavily matrixed organizational structure focused on collaboration

Pay Transparency and Benefits
- The stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest. Actual salary offers will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data and cost of labor. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for variable compensation.

$102,000 - $150,000 USD
