The opportunity:
The role of the Ops Associate is a critical part of making Flexport’s mission to make global trade easy for everyone a reality. In this role, your direct customers are the partners within your region: our account management and customs teams, subcontractors, carriers, terminals and trucking providers. Your work directly supports Flexport’s end customers in achieving their logistics goals. Most importantly, you will play a pivotal role in building the next operational model at Flexport: allowing us to effectively scale to achieve our mission of making global trade easier for everyone.

Scope of Duties:
- To execute end-to-end shipments handling (FCL, LCL, Export, Import), including booking, documentation, and milestone updates, ensuring key performance indicators are met.
- To create/manage the shipment details and maintain high data quality, ensuring that all systems are kept up to date promptly.
- To coordinate and communicate directly with all involved stakeholders to ensure shipments are on time based on the customer promise.
- To monitor, troubleshoot and escalate exceptions or discrepancies as required to ensure smooth operations at origin and destination
- To address root causes proactively and notify relevant person to prevent the recurrence of service gaps.
- To analyze operational data and provide reports to management with actionable insights.
What you will need:
- BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in professional logistics, freight forwarding, ocean operations (Seafreight knowledge is a plus)
- Language requirements: Bahasa Malay + English + Mandarin
- Experience or Exposure to handle special cargo (reefer, DG, oversized) will be an advantage
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, billing, and data entry
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
