Lead Engineer - Data Platform (all genders)
About the Role:
We are looking for a Lead engineer (f/m/d) for our Data Platform team. Our Data Platform team consists of 7 people and is building our decentralised self-serve data platform, to ensure different domain teams can use data to become truly data driven. This function helps us build buildings that evolve over time and become more aspirational, affordable and sustainable.
The Lead engineer (f/m/d) ensures and helps their respective team to define and deliver the right solution at the right time. Knowing when to delegate and how to empower their individual team members is key to be successful in this role. Lead engineers split their time between pairing up with their team, learning how to handle difficult management and leadership situations and partner up with product managers and other business stakeholders to understand the company’s goals and needs.
What you´ll be doing:
You will build, improve and operate a cutting edge data platform with the team.
You will ingest data (event driven, synchronous) for different use cases, like IoT, Smart Factory or Building Systems
You ensure the integration of data governance and security requirements into the platform, so users don’t have to think about it – including collaboration with GRC and IT Security
You will manage and deliver data infrastructure to meet the requirements of various stakeholders (targeting given SLOs and SLAs) and create monitoring and alerting solutions
You will contribute to the department strategy and architectural goals and communicate them transparently and understandably to stakeholders
You are accountable for developing your directs – to do so they have regular (weekly) 1:1s with them
You ensure that the systems and solutions the team builds fit the overall architectural vision of GROPYUS and their respective area
You are accountable for the Operational Excellence of your team and ensure to have a release plan / roadmap for the team and product area in place
What you bring:
You bring professional experience working as a lead engineer (f/m/d) participating in team strategy, roadmap definition and sprint planning
You have built scalable systems including performance tuning, replications, back-up and recovery strategies
You have strong analytical skills and a transparent and collaborative communication style and the ability to troubleshoot complex challenges
You are experienced and/or desire to test pair and/or mob programming
You bring experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Opsgenie)
A plus if you have worked with graph databases or knowledge graphs

HR Controller
About the Role:
As a People Controller, you will play a pivotal supporting role in optimizing our People & Culture processes through effective HR processes and accurate data management. This entails a blend of technical proficiency in modern HR data visualisation systems and a solid understanding of workforce planning principles, as well as stakeholder management skills and a focus on teamwork through reliable communication.
You will be joining an international People & Culture Team of 18 people located throughout Germany and Austria. What you'll be doing:
Accurate Data Tracking: Assist in the management and administration of SAP SuccessFactors, leveraging its capabilities to enhance People operations and reporting dashboards,
Process Optimization: Identify calibration opportunities in existing People processes and develop strategies to enhance efficiency.
Develop, implement, and maintain People data analytics solutions, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Support the annual FTE planning and people-related OPEX forecasting processes through data monitoring and maintenance
Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing insightful analytics to drive People & Culture initiatives and ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation for the business.
Monitor industry trends and best practices in people-related Controlling topics, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Controlling, Information Systems)
Knowledge of current HR technologies and how to use them, in both user-facing and system administration capacities
Ideally you’ve worked with SAP SuccessFactors, or a similar HRIS system, in a previous roles and thrive on exploring new reporting functionalities
Reliable, approachable, and accountable working attitude- you are proactive in seeking information and enjoy collaborating with colleagues
Strong organizer with attention to detail
Analytical thinker with proactive problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Office, with a particularly strong focus on Excel
