Principal Product Manager - Medicaid and CHIP (Multiple Roles)
About A1M
A1M Solutions is a woman-owned small business driven by the aspiration to provide value to our customers, employees, partners, and community while remaining aligned to our guiding principles of foundational values, deliberate focus, and empathetic connection.
A1M’s mission is to preserve and improve government healthcare programs that are lifelines for underserved people in the United States, including people in poverty, elderly people, members of ethnic and racial minorities, immigrants, and refugees. We look for projects with nation-wide impact at the intersection of policy, data, and user experience design.
Besides building useful and usable digital services, A1M helps teams improve their agile, user-centered design practices – or helps them get started. Our goal is not just to build sustainable public services, but also to leave our teaming partners and customers more skilled and more confident in the future.
Technology Delivery at A1M
Product Managers report into the Product Practice at A1M. They help teams execute on a vision, and craft a project strategy. They work in cross-functional, cross-organizational teams, often with policy experts and specialists as well as coordinating with technical teams.
Product management in government involves weaving inputs from stakeholders, policy domain experts, users, and technical partners into a unified path forward. This is particularly true for the lifeline government healthcare programs that serve millions of people. Listening, communication, and prioritization skills are more important to success than technical or business innovation.

Role: As a Principal Engagement Manager I, you are responsible for multiple teams on a client project, usually an entire prime contract. Support: A1M expects this work to be challenging – for example, sometimes our clients don’t meet our expectations. You need to communicate with A1M leadership about risks and concerns, and ask for the help you need.
