A24 is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Accounting Associate to support our Accounting team across several key operational and project-based functions. This role is expected to last a minimum of four months and is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You’ll be instrumental in supporting daily accounting operations, managing audit and quarter-close deliverables, and contributing to high-priority initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. This role is based in our New York office with a minimum of 3-days in office.

Responsibilities:

Accounting & Reporting Support
- Assist in reviewing, tracking, and reconciling royalty reports from international partners
- Perform key tasks related to the quarter close, including but not limited to, bank and inventory reconciliations
- Help roll forward the financial statements and assist in audit-related tasks
- Support the tax function, including updating the transfer pricing calculation worksheets (quarterly), supporting sales tax and VAT preparation and filings, and reconciling sales tax accounts monthly
Accounts Receivable / Payable
- Conduct AR follow-ups and track outstanding receivables
- Support PO/invoice matching, particularly for brand and merchandise-related transactions
- Assist with the development of an AP process manual
- Provide admin support for off-boarding legacy systems (e.g., Avid)
Project Management & Admin
- Manage calendars and assist in scheduling across the team as it relates to core projects and initiatives
- Participate in and help drive core finance initiatives and cleanup projects (e.g., tax filing checklist)
- Scan and organize mail and key finance documents
- Support implementation-related admin tasks across systems and workflows
- Take on ad-hoc projects as they arise across the department

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of relevant accounting experience (internship or full-time)
Familiarity with sales tax and VAT processes preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Linear) a plus
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Our target salary range for this role is between $85,000 to $100,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
