Administrative Assistant Intern at AAVAA 

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant Intern to assist in Operations and Administration, as well as looking for grants and as grant writing at AAVAA as early as December 2024. AAVAA is a deep technology start-up in Montreal with the goal to give people control of their auditory environment, enhance the sounds they want to hear, and suppress distracting noise. To do so, AAVAA is developing a cutting-edge wearable device that detects and interprets brain and bio-signals, capitalizing on the novelty of Brain and Biosignal Synthesis, the robustness of Acoustics, and the strength of Artificial Intelligence. We are looking for:

A full-time assistant who will assist with various activities in operations and administration, including:

  • Communicating through email and phone with candidates
  • Managing daily operations of the office
  • Ordering material, equipment, etc.
  • Looking for financing opportunities
  • Recruiting and testing participants
  • Assisting in the preparation of experimental set-ups

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related fields
  • Excellent communication & writing skills (English)
  • Knowledge/experience in accounting, human resources, and corporate governance for a secretary role
  • Motivated, excited to learn, ability to work autonomously in a dynamic team

Above and Beyond

  • Experience with Neuroscience or related fields
  • Technical writing, patent writing, grant writing, etc.
  • Updating our website and other marketing material
  • Experience in facilitating experimental protocols with participants
