About the Role: 

Abacus Insights is looking for a Business and Data Analyst with 5+ years of experience working with Healthcare Administration software and associated data sets. As a member of the Business and Analysis Team within Client Solutions this role will focus on the decomposition of key requirements and the production of detailed design and analysis documentation that is critical to our client implementation success.  

The Client Solutions team is focused on the effective delivery of both requirements and design definitions so that our clients understand the path to business value realization.  

You Will: 

  • Participate in consulting engagements with our clients. These engagements generally revolve around improving the operational performance as it relates to their current software platforms and identifying areas where Abacus Insights may be able to develop complementary solutions
  • Use your hands-on experience and knowledge in either healthcare claims, provider management, benefits, eligibility, and/or contract management to analyze business requests and develop business requirements and systemic solutions
  • Participate in on-site planning and requirements gathering and clarification sessions with customers
  • Develop designs for modifications to existing Abacus Insights Platform components or for creating new components that work in concert with the existing Abacus Insights Platform
  • Participate in the evaluation of new technologies and platforms as needed, including mobile, tablet and cloud services
  • Analyze business requests and develop business requirements, design details, and systemic solutions
  • Conduct process analysis, process evaluation and implement process improvements
  • Analyze data/reports to validate quality of information, identify trends, highlight patterns, define inconsistencies and summarize/present findings and results
  • Communicate and translate concepts to both business and technical personnel
  • Assist as needed with QA and application support for clients and our product support group
  • Any additional duties as determined by joint agreement between yourself and appropriate Abacus Insights management resources. 

 
What We're Looking For: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Computer Science, or other equivalent work experience or training
  • Experience with SQL, databricks and/or snowflake
  • Capacity to build and manage working relationships with internal and external team members
  • Ability to multi-task and react positively to frequent changes in priorities
  • Ability to communicate succinctly and clearly, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with requirements gathering and documentation
  • Ability to positively impact process improvement and process management
  • High level of project organization, attention to detail, and time management
  • High level of motivation to solve existing problems while anticipating new issues
  • 5+ years of experience working with Healthcare Administration software

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to complete complex tasks with little supervision
  • Strong commitment to remaining current on market needs by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external departments to position company products and services competitively to address market and client needs
