The Role
We're looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an RN Clinical Lead. This role will report directly into the Director of Nursing. This is a Full-Time Hybrid opportunity based in Colorado Springs, CO.
The RN Clinic Lead at Abby Care plays a crucial role in managing and supporting our clinical team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence. This role requires a seasoned professional with a background in field case management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide positive and constructive feedback. The RN Clinic Lead oversees order management, supports nurses in the field, and ensures compliance with clinical standards and documentation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Supervise RN Case Managers, including conducting at least monthly one-on-one meetings and implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as needed.
- Create and execute plans for new hire training and orientation.
- Conduct weekly IDT/POD meetings to review clinical practices and address concerns.
- Oversee weekly billing memos, delegating and following up with RN Case Managers as appropriate.
- Escalate concerns to the Clinical Nurse Manager or DON when clinical support is needed.
Order Management:
- Place and receive orders in alignment with RN Case Manager directives.
- Oversee the upload of orders to the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Conduct Start of Care (SOC) reviews and ensure the adequacy of Face-to-Face (F2F) documentation, including timely outreach to Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) for supplemental notes.
- Review EMR tasks and reports, delegating as appropriate.
Clinical Support:
- Act as a resource for nurses in the field, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards and best practices.
- Provide positive and constructive feedback to team members to foster professional growth.
Quality Assurance:
- Support Quality Assurance (QA) processes by assisting with QA for CNA visits and assessments as needed.
- Encourage RN participation in QA tasks, coordinating with QA team.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Foster a collaborative environment where clinical staff feel supported and valued.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the Clinical Nurse Manager, DON, Clinic Leads, and Case Managers.
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Experience: Experienced field case manager with a minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting, preferably in pediatric home health care.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical documentation systems and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

This is a full-time role with an estimated salary range of $86,000 - $95,000 annually + bonus potential and benefits.
