What You’ll Do

We are seeking a talented and passionate Data Engineer – Generalist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll leverage modern technologies to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines while contributing to organizational best practices. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a knack for innovative problem-solving, we’d love to hear from you.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Data Engineering team lead in ensuring quality and agility across team activities.
  • Collaborating with fellow data engineers to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using leading-edge technologies.
  • Building and maintaining data pipelines that integrate diverse data sources into a Harmonized Data Mesh for both internal and external use.
  • Debugging, unit testing, and deploying data pipelines while optimizing their performance.
  • Managing metadata associated with data and processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Documenting and versioning code to maintain transparency and scalability.
  • Promoting Data Engineering best practices and contributing to Enterprise Data Governance frameworks.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality engineering solutions that meet evolving business needs.
  • Driving continuous improvement in test development, automation, and release processes.
  • Advocating for user-centric design and functionality when collaborating with product, design, and technical teams.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Experience:
    • Relevant experience in Data Engineering
    • Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably Azure.
    • Proficiency in modern data storage systems (e.g., Data Lake, Delta Lake, Lakehouse).
    • Expertise in developing data pipelines using PySpark, Scala, or similar frameworks.
    • Experience working with Big Data platforms, such as Databricks.
    • Advanced knowledge of relational/transactional databases and SQL.
    • Strong skills in performance tuning for PySpark and SQL workflows.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Skills:
