About the Position 
We are seeking a Data Ops Manager to lead and evolve our data operations, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our platform. This professional will play a strategic role in implementing advanced DevOps practices for data, creating a robust environment for monitoring, test automation, and high-quality (L3) support for data operations. 

 

What you'll do:

  • Data Operations L3 Management (On-Call Support): Lead the level 3 support team for data operations, ensuring high availability and proactive monitoring. The support will be provided outside business hours, with on-call rotation for maintaining critical systems.
  • Implementation and Standardization of Observability: Work closely with the central operations team to develop and standardize observability practices, ensuring real-time visibility and the health of data systems across the organization.
  • Quality and Automation (Q&A): Define, implement, and evolve the DevOps concept for data with a focus on quality and automation. This function includes:
    • Managing a team of Q&A Engineers dedicated to creating test scenarios, automation frameworks, and process standardization.
    • Implementing automation tools and practices that ensure the reliability of data pipelines and processes.
    • Working with multifunctional squads to incorporate Q&A and automation practices from the early stages of development, enabling safe and continuous deployment
  • Governance and Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain data governance standards to ensure data compliance, security, and scalability. 

 

What you'll need:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Development Analysis or similar;
  • Advanced English;
  • Proven experience in Data Operations, DevOps, or Data Engineering with a focus on operating and automating data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability (e.g., tools like Datadog, New Relic, or Grafana) and test automation practices.
  • Experience with on-call processes and high-availability systems.
  • Team management skills, with a track record of leading automation and process improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of DataOps and DevOps for data, as well as CI/CD best practices applied to data pipelines.

Differentials

  • Experience with Azure and Databricks.
  • Proven track record of implementing observability and data quality practices in complex data environments.
  • Certifications in DevOps or cloud platforms (such as Azure) are a plus.
