Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Analytics Engineer to design, deliver, and maintain high-quality data products that enable self-service analytics and support decision-making. This role involves transforming complex raw data into trusted, tested, and well-documented datasets and semantic models using modern data platforms such as Databricks and Power BI.
Overall purpose of job:
- Develop and maintain tested, documented, and code-reviewed datasets and data models.
- Build a robust semantic layer for business users, enabling scalable self-service BI.
- Design and optimize queries and workflows for processing large datasets.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and deliver insights.
- Build intuitive, high-performing dashboards in Power BI and Databricks.
- Ensure data compliance with governance, privacy, and quality standards.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and maintain reproducibility and version control.
- Create clear documentation for all data solutions and stay updated with best practices.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL.
- Experience with Azure Databricks and Power BI is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Experience delivering ad hoc analysis and building reusable data products.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced or Fluent English.
