What you'll do: 

  • Lead the charge in optimizing cloud costs and resource utilization, ensuring alignment with business objectives. 
  • Implement and maintain FinOps governance structures to streamline processes and centralize 
    operations. 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design cost-effective services, identifying rate reductions and cost avoidance opportunities. 
  • Drive accountability within engineering teams for the cost and quality of applications/services. 
  • Engage in rightsizing, workload management, and the elimination of unused resources to enhance efficiency. 
  • Monitor spending patterns and detect anomalies to inform budgeting and forecasting. 
  • Contribute to the development of new features and products with a keen eye on cost implications. 
  • Facilitate cost allocation and deliver insights on infrastructure costs relative to revenue and service utilization. 

What you'll need: 

  • Univeristy degree in courses related to computing such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Systems Analysis and Development
  • Advanced English (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with international stakeholders. 
  • A unique blend of finOps practices and engineering knowledge with Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments. 
  • Ongoing work on cloud cost optimization and governance. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive FinOps principles and practices. 
  • A track record of improving service delivery through cost-effective architectural decisions. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to predict the financial impact of technical decisions.
