Our Story

Able was born as a product development and engineering hub for a family office of early stage companies. We worked across a portfolio of investment companies to accelerate products to market.

As we grew, we began to work with partners (we call our clients ‘partners’) outside the family office. Our partner portfolio became broader and more diverse, working with larger, more established companies across industries. We built and shipped dozens of products, from zero to ones, to new product introductions for established companies.

As we established ourselves as a product development firm, we worked tirelessly to ensure that our development practices – from product inception through deployment – were the fastest, highest quality, and most progressive.

In the past several years, AI has introduced a whole new layer of opportunity for how to best build products. Through this period, we have invested heavily to identify how best to implement AI into the SDLC to power our teams.

The market has responded to this set of services and we have now emerged as a broader capability: AI-powered software development coupled with AI implementation consulting. We continue to build and deliver software, powered by AI, and we ladder that with strategic AI consulting services.

About the Role

As a Visual Designer, you will be responsible for designing high-quality graphics, UIs, and illustrations for a consumer-facing mobile application. This role requires a blend of solid design fundamentals and a deep understanding of how visual elements impact the overall user experience. You will be tasked with creating both static and dynamic assets that bring the app's brand to life.

What you will do:

• Create product UIs, icons, brand graphics, and illustrations specifically optimized for mobile environments.
• Design and implement both static illustrations and dynamic animations.
• Create responsive, high-fidelity prototypes and mockups using Figma to communicate design concepts  and rationale to clients and internal teams in a clear and compelling manner.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and project teams, utilizing strong client management skills to guide design decisions.
• Manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines within an Agile product development lifecycle.
• Ensure all designs are visually compelling and user-friendly. 
• Collaborate with developers to ensure design fidelity and accessibility.

 

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of visual design experience 
• Experience designing dynamic and static illustrations and animations for apps 
• Experience with developing experiences within a digital brand system
• Experience designing consumer apps 
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Suite, and After Effects
• Working knowledge of Agile product development lifecycles and practices 
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
