Veterinary Technician
Acacia Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.
We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Assist doctors and your team in maintaining an efficient hospital workflow
- Assisting in surgical monitoring, and patient recovery
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.
Schedule and Compensation:
- Compensation: $19 - $22 per hour, for each hour worked
- This can be a full or part-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays.

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set:
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
