Sr Data Developer

Position Summary:
The Senior Data Developer is responsible for meeting the business needs for better intelligence and information by developing, refining, trouble-shooting data solutions and working with the Accanto Team staff throughout the organization. The Senior Data Developer will work closely with the Data Team, EHR team, Operations, Finance and Business teams to provide information for better decision-making in multi-faceted, complex scenarios and requests. The Senior Data Developer will provide support to the Director of Health Data Analytics in making complex data-driven decisions by gathering requirements, analyzing, creating, optimizing, inventorying, and tracking, and documenting data architecture and strategies and processes within the organization. The Senior Data Developer will mentor more junior level resources.

- Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm
Compensation:
$130,000- $140,000 (DOE)

- Remote, must be US Based and have the right to work for any employer in the US without restrictions
Duties and Responsibilities:
Development
- Ingest, store, process, and analyze large datasets from various data sources and formats
- Develop and implement pipelines that extract, load, transform, and push data into an information product that helps the organization reach its strategic goals
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
- Building and maintaining a data technology platform to support business intelligence needs
Monitoring and Support
- Ensure data quality and reliability through data validation, testing, and ongoing monitoring
- Document and resolve data-related problems, working collaboratively to ensure data quality
- Troubleshoot and help to resolve production issues related to data flows within the company
Analytics
- Work with executives and cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements for BI solutions.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using SSRS, PowerBI and other relevant tools
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses using SQL queries, Microsoft Excel
Collaboration
- Manage all tasks completely, working with stakeholders for design and specs, communicating status to all, writing the code, and documenting what you've done.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the established data definitions match their expectations.
- Participate in code reviews and daily interactions to ensure the data environment meets our high standards
- Work collaboratively with the Data Team, Electronic Health Records team, Revenue Cycle Management team, Operations and Finance Teams to ensure business needs are met
Adhering To Best Practices
- Employ best practices for data management, analytics and ETL procedures.
- Document system designs and processes.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics.
Education Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution required
Professional Qualifications:
- 8+ years of related experience required
- 2+ years demonstrated experience with data modeling, SQL and PowerBI required
- 8+ years data integration experience in SSIS or related tools required
- 5+ years of report building experience in SSRS, Crystal reports or similar, required
- In-depth understanding of online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) design required
- Knowledgeable in one of the cloud computing providers (preferably Azure) required
- 8+ years Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases and database design required
- 1+ years Proficiency in C# required
- Experience engaging directly with end users and executive staff to define business data requirements.
- Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision.
- 1+ years of healthcare experience (IT or clinical) preferred.
- Hands-on experience in provisioning Infrastructure as Code (IaC) preferred.
- Solid grasp of CI/CD principles preferred.
- Proficiency in Batch and/or PowerShell scripting preferred
- Experience with Electronic Health Record Platforms (such as SmartCare, Netsmart, or EPIC) preferred.

Workplace Environment:
- Work from Home Office as a remote staff
- Sitting 90-95% and Standing 5-10%.
- Working at a computer 95% of the day
