Sr. Financial Analyst

Remote Based - Costa Rica

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Sr. Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the FP&A team charged with providing the high caliber, relevant financial analysis and supporting our business partners with on-going and budget analysis that is insightful and actionable. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues within the FP&A department and partner cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization. In addition, the Sr. Financial Analyst will support the financial closing process, owning key deliverables and partnering closely with the Accounting team.

The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment. A strong sense of ownership and attention to detail is important for success in this role. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key trends, assess current and future budget risks, and communicate key insights to leadership.
  • Support the month-end closing process and provide schedules for monthly accruals and reclasses.
  • Support functional budget owners by providing high quality monthly variance analysis and timely ad hoc reporting on critical budget issues.
  • Build financial models, develop ad hoc financial scenarios, and create analyses that provide relevant and insightful information for decision making.
  • Track key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate the health of the business.
  • Drive improvements within existing financial models used by the Finance organization.
  • Participate in cross-functional efforts to continuously improve data quality and establish rigor in measuring and monitoring the business.
  • Availability during Pacific time zone working hours

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Finance, or Economics
  • 3-5 years of high-tech company experience (SaaS/Cloud model preferred)
  • Advanced Excel and experience building sophisticated and detailed financial models
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Adaptive planning, Netsuite, PowerBI or other data visualization tools, MS Powerpoint
  • Critical thinker with a demonstrated ability to solve open-ended problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business partnership and ability to collaborate cross functionally

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Data modelling, SQL, or other tools for data analysis
  • Software or SaaS company experience strongly preferred
