
Sr. Product Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Sr. Product Manager – Plan Review SME at Accela you will work with various product and engineering teams and the customer advocate council to understand requirements, translate them into software workflows and features, and oversee their implementation to ensure that they meet the needs of each customer segment. The SME also advises on technical code compliance details and educates the product and engineering teams on Plan Review workflows. The SME will also work with the AI architecture team to discover workflows that can be automated or made more efficient by the application of advanced AI technologies.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work with various product and engineering teams to educate them on Plan Review workflows and code compliance concepts.
· Work with stakeholders, including the customer advisory council, to gather requirements and translate them for the technical teams to jointly design efficient software workflows and features
· Demo proof of concepts to customer stakeholders and gather feedback to validate features and use cases before fully committing to full scale implementation.
· Participate in architectural discussions and provide input from an SME perspective on UI/UX decisions.
· Track and oversee the completion and quality of any applicable software workflows and features that are in development.
· Work with the AI architecture team to discover solutions to problems that can be more automated and efficient by the application of advanced AI technologies.
· Provide technical leadership and stay on the fore front of private industry construction tech to advise the product team on emerging workflows.
· Educate the Sales Engineering team on new plan review features and workflows and how to present them in sales demonstrations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Licensed Plans Examiner
· Proven experience and deep knowledge of code compliance concepts and construction codes.
· Focus on one or more disciplines such as electrical, plumbing, building, structural, life safety, fire, etc.
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex workflows concepts to technical stakeholders.
· Strong presentation and demonstration skills to demo product features.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Proficient with PDF and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
· Good understanding of computer browsers.
· Very detail oriented, with proficiency to assist in quality assurance tasks related to the subject matter expertise.

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000- $180,000. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an annual base salary, this role is eligible to earn commissions.
