Data Analytics, Manager

US Based - Remote

ABOUT THE ROLE

Accela is hiring a Data Engineering Manager, Growth Operations—a senior, hands-on data leader embedded in our Revenue/Growth Operations team. You’ll own the data engineering foundation that powers revenue, commercial, and financial insights across renewals, proposals, order management, CRM operations, and executive reporting.

You’ll be the go-to expert for GTM + finance data sources, ETL pipelines, integrations, and analytics outputs—accountable for how data moves across systems, how it’s modeled, and how it shows up in dashboards and executive-ready narratives. This role partners closely with the VP of Growth Operations and delivers trusted insights to the CFO, CRO, and senior leadership. While you won’t own end-to-end administration of GTM applications, you will own the data layer across them.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Data engineering & architecture

  • Design, build, and operate reliable data pipelines and transformations supporting GTM and finance use cases, leveraging Microsoft Fabric with Salesforce and NetSuite as primary sources
  • Serve as the SME for ETL processes, data models, cross-application data flows, and data warehousing strategies
  • Build and maintain system-to-system integrations (e.g., CRM ↔ ERP) using APIs and application automation to enable workflow automation and improve data consistency
  • Establish and maintain high standards for data quality, documentation, governance, and operational excellence across reporting
  • Optimize architecture for performance, scalability, and cost; experience with platforms such as Snowflake, GCP, AWS, or Oracle is a plus

Analytics, BI, & executive reporting

  • Deliver clear, accurate, actionable analytics and visualizations for executive stakeholders; translate technical complexity into business value
  • Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards that provide real-time visibility into SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, pipeline velocity, renewals, retention, churn, expansion, forecasting)
  • Standardize and govern definitions/calculations for key revenue metrics (pipeline, ARR, renewals, churn, expansion, forecasting)
  • Provide executive analysis with strong narrative context—turning “what happened” into “so what” and “now what”
  • Apply AI-enabled tools and methods to improve data operations, predictive analytics, and operational efficiency

 Cross-functional partnership & delivery

  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, IT, and Systems teams to align data engineering work to business priorities
  • Balance urgent operational needs with long-term architectural vision; manage complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end
  • Support strategic initiatives such as:
    • M&A data integration and ETL across GTM and finance systems
    • Master Data Management (MDM) design and implementation
    • Automation through application integrations (CRM ↔ ERP)
    • Enhanced forecasting and revenue reporting (e.g., step-up revenue views)
  • Own ongoing operations including:
    • Pipeline reliability and monitoring
    • Transformations and modeling
    • Integrations and automation
    • Dashboards and executive visuals

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI/data platform roles, including ownership of production pipelines
  • Proven experience designing and operating ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, and data models that support business-critical reporting
  • Strong proficiency with data modeling (dimensional modeling, semantic layers, metric governance) and data warehouse concepts
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI (including complex models/measures and performance tuning)
  • Experience integrating data across business systems using APIs, connectors, and automation approaches
  • Track record of ensuring data quality, documentation, and governance in a cross-functional environment Strong stakeholder management skills—able to communicate clearly with both technical teams and executives

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse, Dataflows, pipelines, semantic models)
  • Experience working with Salesforce and NetSuite data (objects/structure, common GTM + finance workflows)
  • Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and implementation approaches
  • Experience supporting SaaS revenue analytics (ARR/NRR, renewals, churn, forecasting, pipeline) in a B2B/B2G context
  • Exposure to Snowflake, AWS/GCP, or Oracle data platforms
  • Prior experience in Revenue Operations / Growth Operations or GTM analytics teams
  • People leadership experience (if this role includes direct reports), or demonstrated mentorship/technical leadership without formal management

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
