
Senior Executive Advisor, Government Strategy & Innovation
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Executive Advisor, Government Strategy & Innovation is a senior, customer-facing advisory role focused on Accela’s most strategic government customers and high-impact new logo opportunities.
This role delivers executive-level strategic advisory services including strategic assessments, performance and KPI insight, governance alignment, and modernization roadmaps. The Senior Executive Advisor partners with senior government leaders to address complex operational and organizational challenges, translating insight into clear priorities and actionable outcomes.
This role is designed for experienced advisors capable of leading complex, enterprise-level engagements where outcomes materially impact customer success, retention, and long-term growth.
In addition, this role serves as a critical bridge in Accela’s transition to Government as a Service (GaaS)—connecting customer insight, AI-driven analysis, and product innovation to enable a new delivery model centered on outcomes rather than software alone.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Advisory & Strategic Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior government executives
- Lead conversations on governance, KPIs, and modernization
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments
Strategy-Led Assessments & Diagnostics
- Lead strategic assessments across operations and governance
- Synthesize insights into executive narratives
- Identify root causes and opportunities
Performance Insight, AI & Decision Enablement
- Define executive KPIs and performance baselines
- Translate data into actionable insights
- Leverage AI to uncover patterns and optimization opportunities
AI-Driven Insights & Product Feedback Loop
- Translate customer challenges into product roadmap inputs
- Partner with Product and Engineering
- Validate new features against real-world use cases
Government as a Service (GaaS) Enablement
- Help define and operationalize GaaS delivery
- Standardize workflows and reduce time-to-value
- Build scalable models for delivering outcomes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 12+ years in government advisory or transformation
- Experience engaging senior executives
- Strong understanding of governance and KPIs
- Executive presence and communication skills

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $250,000 (less applicable taxes). The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an annual base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus target. This is a discretionary bonus awarded based on company and individual goal achievement.
