We are incredibly ambitious – for ourselves, the providers we work with, and the apprentices we assess.

About the Role
In response to recent apprenticeship reforms and shifting assessment requirements, Accelerate People is redeveloping its current apprenticeship assessment products. We are seeking an outstanding Product Developer to help create documentation, support materials, and assessments for our existing suite—and potentially new products that may arise as the landscape evolves.
You will work in a small team and very closely with our Product Manager, utilising technology to design and deliver our products expertly and efficiently. You will strike the appropriate balance between being a dynamic and creative thinker and applying the compliance mindset that keeps our assessments low risk in the eyes of our regulators.
Stakeholder engagement is an important part of how we operate, and you may occasionally support sessions or attend meetings with providers, employers and apprentices who access our assessments.
As part of our combined Product and Marketing activities, you may also be asked to support the creation of marketing materials from time to time, typically by providing input on social media content or reviewing assets produced by the team.
Responsibilities
- Product Development: Lead the development of all materials associated with our apprenticeship assessments; including the assessments themselves, support materials and other documentation, ensuring that our systems and platforms reflect the latest developments.
- Product Testing: Lead the testing of our materials and documentation to ensure successful transition from design to delivery. Ensure the platforms we use to present our materials and the associated information are current and allow an excellent user experience.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support our engagement with providers, employers and apprentices by joining sessions or meetings when needed. You may help deliver updates on existing or new products, or contribute your product insight as part of wider team discussions.
- Communication: Utilise your exceptional written communication skills, with attention to detail that is second to none, to produce ‘right first time’ products to testing quality assurance measures.
- Assessment Expertise: Understand assessment principles and standard setting (e.g., the Angoff method) and implement those principles in our products to lead to secure and robust assessments.
- Technology: Enthusiastically harness technology (such as GenAI) to improve and enhance the design and delivery of our products. Advocate the use of tech platforms to improve our work.
- Marketing Support: Contribute to marketing activities when needed by providing product insight, reviewing content, or supporting the creation of social media materials that showcase our products and updates.
Must Have
- Experience of developing or delivering qualifications and / or assessments, ideally apprenticeship assessments.
- Exceptional project and programme management skills; a formal qualification would be ideal.
- A deep understanding of the further education sector, work-based learning in particular
- Outstanding attention to detail, proof reading and quality assurance skills.
- The ability to engage effectively with stakeholders of all types, including training providers, employers, apprentices, and regulatory bodies
- Adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience of working within the Digital sector.
- An education or training background, giving you the ability to empathise with our customers.
- Experience using generative AI tools (such as Copilot or Claude) and Canva to support content creation.
- An understanding of Ofqual regulatory frameworks.
