Senior Account Manager - Affiliate Marketing (Cryptocurrency/Finance)

Location: MA, NY, NJ, PA, GA, FL, TX, IL

The Senior Account Manager, Affiliate Marketing (Cryptocurrency/Finance) position is a remote, work-from-home role, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners. Some travel is required for client meetings, internal meetings, conferences, and other events.

The Role

As a Senior Account Manager, you will own the planning and execution of high-value client strategies. You will drive tactical and strategic execution, leveraging insights and industry knowledge to optimize performance and achieve long-term growth. Working closely with Account Directors (ADs) for strategic alignment and Program Directors (PDs) for executional support, you will be responsible for ensuring successful program implementation.

Top Responsibilities

  1. Client Strategy & Relationship Management
  • Partner with Account Directors to develop and execute high-caliber strategies, translating strategic plans into actionable execution to ensure positive client outcomes and long-term success.
  • Drive the development and execution of client strategies aligned with their business objectives.
  • Lead client engagements, focusing on building innovative, growth-oriented strategies and fostering strong relationships.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, proactively identifying opportunities for growth and performance optimization.
  1. Campaign Execution & Operational Oversight
  • Accountable for performance outcomes, owning the successful execution of program work while maintaining high delivery standards
  • Drive day-to-day campaign operations, ensuring all activities are delivered to a high standard
  • Lead team execution, setting clear priorities and deadlines
  • Monitor campaign performance and work with relevant teams to optimize based on results
  • Ensure operational excellence across all campaign activities
  1. Strategic Data Oversight & Storytelling
  • Ensure delivery of impactful data insights and that data is closely aligned to client KPI’s through productive storytelling.
  • Oversee the presentation of high-level data insights to inform long-term client strategy, optimizations, and business decisions, partnering with strategic analytics team to deepen insights and strengthen recommendations
  • Guide the team in effectively using data to support client performance and growth opportunities.
  1. Partner Management & Development
  • Manage high-value affiliate partnerships, ensuring alignment with growth targets.
  • Develop innovative partnerships and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Attend industry events to build relationships and identify new partners.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to drive innovative solutions.
  • Leverage internal publisher development team supportto optimize partner relationships and enhance growth opportunities.
  1. Leadership & Team Development
  • Manage and develop direct reports, providing mentorship and coaching to strengthen strategic thinking, accountability, and project management skills.
  • Support Program Directors in fostering team cohesion and identifying growth opportunities for all team members.
  • Effectively delegate responsibilities to ensure seamless execution and team efficiency.

What Success Looks Like

By 6 months

You will be managing multiple affiliate programs, forming strong relationships with key client contacts, and ensuring high-quality execution. You will take ownership of key deliverables, proactively managing client needs and program performance. You will identify opportunities and create strategic initiatives to drive additional value for clients. You will navigate challenging client or team situations with a solutions-oriented approach. Client data will be regularly analyzed and leveraged to optimize campaigns, ensuring KPIs are met. You will proactively develop and lead program improvements based on performance insights. Clients will be satisfied with account performance, and client Net Promoter Scores will consistently be 8+.

By 1 Year

You will take full accountability for overall team performance and high value strategic outputs. You will coach team members to challenge the status quo, promoting innovation and growth within the team. Clients will recognize you as a key driver of their success, and Net Promoter Scores will remain at 8+. The accounts you support will be increasing their spend with Acceleration Partners and investing more heavily in the affiliate channel.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • 5-8 years of online marketing, e-commerce, or affiliate marketing experience.
  • Direct affiliate marketing experience (agency, in-house, or network) required.
  • Cryptocurrency/finance vertical experience required
  • Knowledge of Affiliate Networks (e.g., Awin Commission Junction, Impact) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., formulas, reports).
  • Working knowledge of HTML is a plus.
  • Previous experience managing and motivating direct reports is a plus.
