
Regional Special Education Data Coordinator
The Special Education Data Coordinator will serve in an integral role to support special education compliance by connecting local and state reporting systems of special education events using data analysis and tracking.
Eligibility: Open to residents in Ohio
About the Opportunity
- Review EMIS events from Case Managers to make sure that all events are entered correctly and in a timely manner
- Pull SIS data daily to find any/all changes
- Communicate errors/problems to school end-users and assist them to work through correcting their errors
- Maintain knowledge of state reporting requirements
- Utilize and implement strong organizational tools (Excel) to track and share data
- Create and maintain reports to assist departments with compliance
- Ensure all special education reported events sync to SIS as expected
- Assist in data collection for accommodations for required local and state testing
- Enter and update special education disability codes into Student Information System (SIS)
- Create/maintain rosters for Coordinator Teams, Related Services, Psychologists
- Follow-up with previous schools on SWD records that are still needed
- Participates in trainings and meetings (occasional travel required)
- Perform all other job duties as assigned
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
- High School Diploma is required
- Minimum of one year of school admissions or retention experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multi-tasks
