Position Summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking a Career Technical Education (CTE) Project Manager to provide dedicated operational oversight for CTE curriculum development initiatives. This role manages project timelines, milestones, workflows, and tracking systems to ensure curriculum development stays on schedule and transparent.

Working collaboratively with the National CTE Team, instructional designers, curriculum leaders, and cross-functional partners, the Project Manager supports consistent execution across initiatives. The role is execution-focused, emphasizing accountability, coordination, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery (Primary Responsibility)

  • Own and maintain master project plans for CTE curriculum development initiatives.
  • Establish and track timelines, milestones, checkpoints, and dependencies across multiple courses and contributors.
  • Coordinate workflow and deliverables across instructional designers and cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor progress against plans and proactively identify risks, delays, or capacity issues.
  • Escalate issues and recommend adjustments to maintain delivery schedules.

Systems, Tracking & Reporting

  • Build and manage standardized project management tools, trackers, dashboards, and documentation.
  • Provide regular status updates, progress reports, and executive-level summaries to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliverables, approvals, and version control.
  • Ensure curriculum projects remain organized, auditable, and implementation ready.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Facilitate communication between instructional designers, curriculum leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Support planning conversations related to sequencing, resourcing, and capacity management.
  • Reinforce clarity of roles, expectations, and deadlines across contributors.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-contributor projects with complex timelines.
  • Strong organizational, tracking, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly to leadership.
  • Proficiency with project management and productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, PM platforms).

Preferred

  • Experience supporting curriculum or instructional development projects.
  • Familiarity with compliance-driven environments or multi-site organizations.
  • Experience working with virtual or distributed teams.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • This role is collaborative, fast-paced, and mission-driven.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training, or school support.
  • The Project Manager is expected to work professionally and cooperatively with diverse teams to support student success and program quality.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $80,000 – $100,000 annually.  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
