Security Operations Center Manager
The work:
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the SOC team, ensuring the effective detection, investigation, and response to cybersecurity incidents. This role involves leading a team of security analysts and developing and implementing security strategies, and collaborating with other IT and business units to safeguard the organization's information assets. The SOC Manager will ensure continuous monitoring of security events, perform threat analysis, and manage incident response processes. Additionally, this role requires staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations. The SOC Manager will play a pivotal role in protecting the organization’s IT infrastructure and maintaining its overall security posture.
Here's what you need:
- 8 years of experience in IT and/or Cyber, with a minimum of 2 years managing a SOC
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Splunk Engineering experience
- Active Top Secret clearance or prior Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access is required
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with using one or more of the following tools: Microsoft Sentinel, Cribl, Endgame, Carbon Black, Tanium, FireEye, RSA Archer, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, McAfee, Encase, Security Onion, Snort,Phantom, ELK
- Certifications:
- Splunk Certifications
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- SANS GIAC Certifications (GCTI, GCIH, GCIA etc.)
- DFIR related Certifications
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
