Job Description:
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Senior DevSecOps engineer to work with a multi-cloud configuration team to integrate security throughout the stages of cloud adoption. This is an important customer mission to adapt the development of a system using DevSecOps processes and ideas to meet the functionality and cybersecurity needs of the future. The main requirement is a candidate that can understand the needs of configuration and development efforts and can apply creative thinking to automate DevSecOps processes and a willingness to adapt to whatever the customer needs. The environment can be deeply technical and rapidly changing, so flexibility is paramount. The program is structured utilizing DevSecOps and Agile methodologies. As a member of a multi-cloud configuration team, the selected individual will be required to be part of an agile scrum team and be knowledgeable in numerous development tools and technologies. We are glad to consider engineers that have the attitude to solve complex problems without static solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Implement deployment automation, software incident monitoring, testing, and configuration management controls
- Institute automation improvements throughout the CI/CD pipeline
- Analyze developer recommendations for SW enhancements across cloud/containers/open source solutions
- Implements and designs server, network, and software configurations for a cloud computing infrastructure and applications with a focus on DevSecOps principles
- Monitors the performance of systems
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
- Write and maintain documentation of system architecture, installation, operations, and maintenance procedures and provide status reports based on customer and program requirements
Here's what you need:
- 10 years of experience in technology consulting and a Bachelors degree
- 1+ years of experience providing support to the Open-Source Community, specify on OSN
- Extensive experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD and Enterprise CI/CD tools (GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins, etc)
- 2+ years of experience in an AWS serverless environment and working with lambda
- 2+ years of experience supporting the Cloud environments to include, delivering, securing and managing container-based applications and supporting the Cloud
- 2+ years of Systems administration and automation experience with Windows and Linux to include PowerShell and/or Bash Scripting
- Experience deploying and monitoring tools and services in AWS
- Experience working in a serverless environment
- Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting infrastructure as code (CloudFormation/Terraform/Ansible)
- Experience with the Atlassian tools in agile environments
- Experience working with containers (Docker/Podman) and their orchestration tools (docker compose/Swarm/Kubernetes)
- Experience driving adoption of shift-level approach, policy-as-code, security-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, and zero trust compliance
- Strong scripting skills, including shell scripts, Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, or Groovy
- Experience with deploying Cloud services
- Experience in working with Docker and Kubernetes
Bonus points if you have:
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate/Professional
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
- Red Hat Certified
- Experience with Azure and Google cloud platforms

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:
$140,400 - $265,300 USD
