Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst/Agile Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and strong writing skills to effectively manage and prioritize product development initiatives. As an Agile Product Owner, you will play a key role in defining product visions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and business objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Product Vision and Strategy: Define and articulate the product vision and strategy in alignment with company goals. Develop and maintain a product roadmap, ensuring it reflects market trends, customer needs, and business priorities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including customers, development teams, and senior management. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.
- Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with the product roadmap and strategic goals. Write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and other documentation to guide development efforts.
- Communication and Writing: Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and regular updates. Produce high-quality written documentation, including product requirements, user manuals, and release notes.
- Agile Methodology: Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Foster a collaborative and agile environment, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform future development. Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for product enhancements and optimizations.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and challenges. Apply critical thinking to make informed decisions that balance short-term needs with long-term objectives.
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor ‘s degree or 4 additional years of experience in IT
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Functional Consultant or similar role in product management
Bonus points if you have:
- Proficiency in using product management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
- Background in HR or Workforce Security
- Experience in a technology or software development environment
- Agile Certifications
Security Clearance:
- Active Top Secret federal security clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI and polygraph
- Help teams identify, resolve, and escalate risks, and impediments.
- Coach agile teams on effective story definition, prioritization, and estimation practices.
- Charter new teams, fostering clarity around ways of working and agreements.
- Ensure Agile Teams have access to the tools, resources, and personnel they need to deliver.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture by facilitating assessments and providing data to aid in the identification of improvement goals.
- Design and facilitate agile training across a range of disciplines and frameworks.
- Work with project leadership to implement and continuously monitor delivery and contract related metrics.
- Coach personnel on effective Product Management practices.
- Work closely with engineering teams to identify opportunities to automate and improve the way the technical solution is tested, built, integrated and deployed.
Here’s what you need:
- Experience working in software development environment
- Experience in an Agile Coaching role supporting technology delivery at scale using a variety of practices.
- Grasp of agile frameworks, specifically: Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
- Experience collaborating with Product Owners and Product Managers to develop and refine backlogs, and User Stories.
- Strong facilitation skills and client-facing presence, both in-person and remote.
- Experience supporting cross-domain planning in a customer-facing environment
- Experience using remote facilitation tools to coordinate planning and workshops
- You should hold at least one of the following agile fundamentals certifications:
- ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP)
- Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- PMI Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP)
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience setting up and configuring ALM tools (e.g. Atlassian Jira, Azure DevOps, etc)
- Active SAFe certifications
- ICAgile coaching certifications
- Kanban University certification
Security Clearance:
- Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance and willing to obtain polygraph clearance.
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia is:
$93,400 - $176,200 USD
