The work:
Seeking an experienced and highly motivated program scheduler to join our team to support a large program team with multiple product teams. You will oversee program schedules using Microsoft Project, coordinating with strategic customers and partners, supporting a program delivery vision. The ideal candidate must be energetic, communicative, intelligent, passionate, and collaborative. In this role you will be providing technical support to the program team by creating work breakdown structures, tasks, and resource assignments following program policies and processes. The ideal candidate will have the ability to influence and build strong relationships across multiple teams and with our client. Candidates must be comfortable working with junior to senior team members and multiple levels of managers and executives within AFS, our client, and our partners. This is a remote/telework position.
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree; 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
- 5 years of relevant experience using MS Project.
- Experience coordinating with various program/project participants to gather schedule data, including individual discrete events, relationships (dependencies) among events, and actual schedule progress.
- Ability to validate schedule logic following data input and have the ability to create standard report formats and ad hoc reports as directed by senior staff.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Visio, etc.).
- Open to occasional travel (~10% to VA).
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Knowledge of scheduling best practices (e.g., DCMA’s 14 Point Assessment, GAO Schedule Assessment Guide, etc.).
- Experience supporting programs for a Federal Government Agency or Department of Defense.
- Familiar with Jira or willing to learn and integrate agile work into MS Project.
- Familiar with Earned Value Management as it applies to schedules.
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
