We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with deep expertise in cybersecurity analytics with knowledge in utilization of AI tools for analysis and other advanced applications such as threat detection. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience applying advanced data science techniques to protect digital assets, identify anomalies, and proactively counter cyber threats. This role requires working knowledge with modern AI/ML tools, cybersecurity frameworks, and data modeling in high-stakes environments.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large-scale cybersecurity data (logs, network traffic, threat feeds) to uncover patterns and vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with security operations, IT, and engineering teams to integrate data science solutions into existing infrastructure
- Build and maintain data pipelines that support real-time analytics and automated incident response
- Evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and assess their potential in improving threat detection and response
- Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
What You’ll Need:
- 5 years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on cybersecurity applications
- Experience in Python, R, or Scala, with experience in tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn (sklearn)
- Experience working with cybersecurity principles, including network security, SIEMs, endpoint protection, and threat hunting
- Experience with cloud security data (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding to AI workloads on both on premises data centers and with cloud providers
- Familiarity with data engineering, including ETL, data lakes, and real-time stream processing (e.g., Kafka, Spark)
- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK
Bonus Points if you have:
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or Certified Cybersecurity Data Scientist
- Experience in generative AI, LLM security applications, or adversarial ML
Security Clearance:
- Must have an active TS/SCI level clearance
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
